When I was younger I went to
This is Cataratas del Iguazù National Park. This is a big national park and it is awesome.Iguazú falls are near the triple border between Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. They are formed by 275 falls of up to 80 m of height, fed by the flow of the river Iguazú. You can walk along the catwalks, sail a boat under the falls and go trekking along the trails where you can see some animals of the jungle.
Iguazú National Park, created in 1934, protects some 60 thousand hectares (plus other nature reserve 7000) where they settle the Iguazu Falls. Nestled on the border between Argentina and Brazil are World Natural Heritage Site since 1984.
The islands are populated by plant species that can not be found elsewhere in the park as forests and Yvirá cupay Catú. The jungle and the river provide shelter to nearly 450 species of birds (toucans, hummingbirds, vultures, Macuco, carpenters, etc.) 80, mammals (giant anteater, peccary, jaguar, etc.) And many other reptiles, amphibians and fish, as well as the innumerable forms of invertebrates among which highlights the large number of butterflies.
For all these reasons it is advisable to walk in silence along the paths and enjoy the sounds, smells, footsteps and movements of the inhabitants of the jungle.

Los Glaciares National Park is encompasses 717,800 square hectares. It was founded in 1937 to protect the continental ice fields and the thirteen glaciers that cover almost 30 per cent of its area.
These giants that descend to the Atlantic on the Viedma and Argentino Lakes will send chills down your spine and not precisely because of the cold weather.
The Perito Moreno Glacier is located in the sourthern end of the park , situated across Magallanes Peninsula, between the Brazo Rico and the Canal de los Tempanos. It is 5 kilometers wide and rises 60m above the waters of Argentino Lake. This glacier is one of the most active in the world.

By several years there where no paths and the people could walk throw the forest. This produced that new trees could not grow up. Now, the people only can walk throw one path, and anyone can see very old trees surrounded by several news.

Nahuel Huapi
I visited a national park called Nahuel Huapi, wich is located in the province of Neuquen, in the south of Argentina.
It has a huge lake, that is beautifull and a hill called "cerro Tronador" that is next to a set of mountains. It also has lots of different kinds of trees, birds, fishes, mammals and reptiles.
There you can go walking, climbing, riding horses, camping, and fishing. During the winter, you can go skiing.
It's a really wonderful place, and I really loved it.
Punta Tombo reserve
Punta Tombo is an important reserve situate on the Atlantic coast of the province of Chubut, Argentina, and is the principal reserve of colonies of Magellanic Penguin. But there live more 14 kinds of birds like gaviotas too.
The 50 per cent of the turists who visit this place every year came from of other countries.
From September to April is the best moment to visit this place. Because is when the penguins arrive the coast to build their nest and look after their babies.
Penguins are like birds but they can't fly. They are black and white and they can swim very fast. Penguins can walk and jump too.
This photo I took two years ago when I travelled to there.

Glacier National Park
Nahuel Huapi National Park is the oldest Argentine national park, in Patagonia in the foothills of the Andes mountains. It was established in 1934, but the nucleus of the park is the land donated to the federal government by Perito Moreno in 1903.
The park covers approximately 7050 km² and is located in the southwest of the Neuquén and northwest of the Río Negro provinces bordering with Chile.
The park is famous for its rich wildlife and it covers many biotopes, due to altitudes ranging from 700 to 3,000 m and precipitation ranging from rain forests with 4,000 mm/yr on the western slopes to steppes with less than 300 mm/yr on the eastern side.

Wild!
In our 2nd year at Escuela de Educación General Básica Ezequiel Martinez Estrada we are doing a unit called Wild! We would like to share part of what we have learnt in relation to this topic with Ms Dorfman's class in Hun School and even show you some of the wildlife you can find in the National Parks in Argentina.
This first picture is from our summer holidays in Lanín National Park in the south west of Argentina. In the background you can see Lanín volcano. The red flowers are called "notros", they are typical of this area. The pine tree you can see on the right is an "araucaria"
