Parque Nacional Lago Puelo


Puelo Lake National Park is located in the northwestern province of Chubut.It was created in 1937, but was then annexed to the Parque Nacional Los Alerces. Only in 1971 began to operate independently. The reason for its creation was to protect the landscape and flora entering the Paso Puelo. In the park there are areas where you can see rock art. are geometric facts reddish stone. The Mapuche live east of the park boundaries. Within the park there are permanent residents who have a special permit for that purpose. The park infrastructure to receive visitors, camping, bathing, fishing lake and hiking tours. There are several paths of varying difficulty and duration.
